Hello I’m Kristina, and this is my blog on smoothies and nothing else. Only smoothies. And more smoothies. Okay, not entirely. This is a contemporary blog that takes a slightly different turn from previous excerpts of online stuff you’ve been reading lately about smoothies. Most of you’ll be looking for new recipes on smoothies. Many of you will be learning how to make smoothies and what it’s all about.
I can tell you this much, guys, smoothies are actually very, very easy to make. And it’s fun too. This is coming from a girl that couldn’t cook to save her life until just a few years ago. Actually, I think I may just have saved my life. Because smoothies are mighty fine and healthy for you too. There’s nothing like a cool, fresh smoothie for breakfast in the morning to get you on the move. Nutritional and health food pros are saying that the morning is the ideal time for grown-ups like you and not so grown-ups like me to take in a smoothie.
This breakfast booster makes perfect sense because it’s loaded with vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants from the fruit mainly. Geez, if you’re a guy (or girl) like me who loves her oats or muesli in the morning, you can add this lot to your smoothie as well. Why the heck not. You can add milk or yogurt (or both) as well. And if you’re one of those health nuts who want to go completely vegan, you can substitute what I’ve just mentioned with soy or coconut milk, or the latest organic trend, almond milk.
Almond nuts too, man. That you can add to your breakfast smoothie as well. Why the heck nut, I mean, not. While smoothies are mainly targeting health improvement, it should also be about taste. That’s actually quite important to me. I’m going to be looking at esthetics here and there throughout this blog while talking about the health info I’ve picked up along the way.
The breakfast smoothie. Ahh. It’s better than coffee, I tell you. And this is coming from a guy who used to drink coffee until it came out of his ears.
Yep, I was a coffee addict. Hi, my name’s Joe, and I’m a coffee addict, that sort of thing. Although I’ve since learnt that just one or two good cups of coffee isn’t bad for you at all. And if you can take it decaf then even better. Tea’s better, much, much better than coffee, by the way. It’s much healthier, well; actually it’s just plain very good for you. Like most fruit you’re likely to come across while you’re making your next batch of healthy smoothies, tea is rich in antioxidants.
And did you know that you can add tea and coffee to your smoothie drinks? I didn’t know that either until I started reading up about smoothies. Fascinating stuff, I tell you. There’s richness in variety where smoothies are concerned. And smoothies are not just for the health nuts of this world. Kids love it too. It’s like eating a cold ice-cream on a very hot day. Only this cool ice doesn’t melt or mess. You drink it straight from your very own smoothie cup or glass.
